Phoenix Contact have now added to their range of PLC solid-state relay products incorporating a new feature that enables you to safely detect pulses up to a limit frequency of 100 kHz where conventional solid-state relays are frequently out of their depth
Some modules also offer a push-pull output. This is suitable for signal inputs to PLC meter cards that are fitted with a capacitor on the input side. This means that disturbances are effectively suppressed.
