New by Sick, the yellow inductive safety switches and the blue inductive sensors have the same functional principle but are used for different tasks. The yellow safe inductive switches are used to prevent accidents, unwanted collisions or incorrect production processes whereas the blue inductive sensor is used for presence, speed and position control. Very often both product types are required on a machine.
