Mitsubishi Electric’s GT Designer3 software features a built-in simulator allowing users to create intelligent programs that run alongside existing PLC programs without using a dedicated HMI.

This is a great way for engineers to test the functionality of their programs before operating on live equipment.

Machine responses can be simulated using standard monitor windows within GX Works2 or GX Works3. This enables users to call a virtual PLC on a PC and debug the sequence program. Debugging can be immediately carried out after completing your designs without waiting for the PLC input/output wiring. This feature dramatically reduces the backward engineering process and requires no connection cables.

However, GX Works2 and GX Works3 simulators are required for the simulator on GT Designer3 to work.
